We are named after a mining region in Karnataka, India which is about 62 mi from Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India. Over a century, the town has been known for gold mining operated by Kolar Gold Fields., one of the deepest gold mines in the world.
The mine closed in 2001 as they could not operate economically. Kuppam district just 20 miles away is the site of huge granite deposits and that is where our story begins.... One man's vision and his relentless pursuit to build a business for himself and a life for the community.
