KGF Granites Pvt Ltd

We are named after a mining region in Karnataka, India which is about 62 mi from Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India. Over a century, the town has been known for gold mining operated by Kolar Gold Fields., one of the deepest gold mines in the world.

The mine closed in 2001 as they could not operate economically. Kuppam district just 20 miles away is the site of huge granite deposits and that is where our story begins.... One man’s vision and his relentless pursuit to build a business for himself and a life for the community. As he was walking down the cobblestoned streets of London, he asked himself where is this granite coming from and how is it that there isn’t a cobblestone industry in India even with its vast amount of granite resources. Questions led to research that led to discovery that led to the copious reserves of granite mountains in the Kuppam district and neighbouring areas.

Thus was born the Indian Cobblestone industry handmade by artisans from the community, an underdeveloped region gave birth to an industry of exports, jobs, education, basic facilities and most important of all Hope for the Future!. Today the vision of our Chairman has led to the employment of thousands in this industry and sustainable livelihoods to their families while continuing to expand the product categories to include curbs, wall stones, veneer, pavers, etc.

Our group has been extracting Natural Stone from our quarries across South India to provide the global market with various Granite products including cobblestones, pavers, steps, kerbs, veneer, pool coping and site furnishings like benches, bird baths etc. Four factories operating across the Granite rich states of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with over a staff of 100 cater to the architects and builders looking for cut to size and custom made material for projects. Our cobbles and kerb are hand made and manually dressed by skilled artisans from one generation to another to give a sense of authenticity that cannot be matched. Over 1500 craftsmen contribute to this effort making KGF Granites stand out as a premier provider of landscape and hardscape products to the US, Europe and Middle East.
